Ingredients/Components
- sour cream
- salt
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- Tabasco sauce - 1 tsp
- white pepper - 1/4 tsp
- celery seed - 2 Tbsp
- green pepper, chopped
- horseradish - 2 Tbsp
- cabbage, shredded
- carrots, shredded - 1 qt
- green onion, chopped - 1/2 c
How to make cole slaw:
Dressing:1 1/2 c. sour cream1/2 c. mayonnaise3 Tbsp. lemon juice2 Tbsp. vinegar1 tsp. Tabasco sauce2 Tbsp. horseradish1 1/2 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. white pepper Combine cabbage, green pepper, green onions, carrots and celery seed.To make dressing, the cream may or may not be whipped, although whipping gives a fluffier texture. Combine mayonnaise and other ingredients and stir in cream. Just before serving combine both mixtures, mixing lightly but well. Serve immediately. Yield: 4 1/2 quarts, 24 servings.
