Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- vinegar - 1 c
- salad oil - 3/4 c
- celery seed - 3 Tbsp
- medium onions - 2 item
- bell pepper - 1 item
- large head cabbage - 1 item
- small can pimentos - 1 item
How to make cole slaw:
Grate the cabbage. Make layers of cabbage, onion rings, bell pepper rings and pimentos. Over the whole thing, sprinkle 1 cup sugar. Do not stir. Heat together vinegar, salad oil, salt, celery seed and 2 tablespoons sugar. Pour over cabbage mixture; refrigerate for 12 hours, if possible.
