  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1/4 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • lemon or almond flavoring - 1 tsp
  • sticks whipped oleo - 2 item

How to make cold oven pound cake:

Whip together the whipped oleo, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time and beat into mixture. Add remaining ingredients. Mix all together. Grease and flour a tube cake pan. Start in cold oven at 300° for 30 minutes, then at 325° for 50 minutes more (one hour and 20 minutes in all).
