Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/3 c
- egg - 1 item
- unsifted flour - 3 c
- brown sugar, packed - 1 c
- butter or margarine or combine
How to make coffee crumb cake:
For Cake:2 c. unsifted flour1/2 c. sugar1/2 tsp. salt1 tsp. baking powder1 egg1 c. milk1/3 c. vegetable oil1 tsp. vanilla Preheat oven to 375°. In a saucepan or bowl, in microwave, melt butter/margarine; let cool. Stir in sugar, cinnamon and 3 cups flour, mixing well with a fork; set aside.In bowl, combine 2 cups flour with sugar, salt and baking powder. In a small bowl, whisk egg and milk, oil and vanilla; add liquid to dry ingredients and mix just enough to dampen the dry ingredients. Let stand 5 minutes. Pour batter in 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan and scatter crumbs over the top. Bake 35 minutes, until golden brown and pulls away from sides of pan. Sprinkle confectioners sugar when cool.
