Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- shortening - 2/3 c
- well beaten eggs - 2 item
- cooled coffee
How to make coffee coffee cake:
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening with pastry blender or fork until coarse crumbs. Reserve 3/4 cup of this mix for top. To rest, add well beaten eggs and coffee.Pour in a well-greased, 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle top with reserved 3/4 cup mix and pecans. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
