Ingredients/Components

cinnamon - 2 tsp
vanilla - 1 tsp
salt - 1/4 tsp
flour - 2 Tbsp
melted margarine - 2 Tbsp
baking powder - 3 tsp
egg - 1 item
cup sugar - 3/4 item
cup milk - 1/2 item
Cut in shortening
1/2 cups flour - 1 item
cup shortening - 1/4 item
cup nuts, optional - 1/2 item

How to make coffee cake:

Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Cut in shortening. Blend in well beaten egg mixed with milk; add vanilla and mix well. Set aside. Combine all filling ingredients. Pour half of cake batter in pan, sprinkle with half the filling. Pour in remaining batter and sprinkle remaining filling on top. Bake at 375° for 25-30 minutes.Filling:1/2 cup brown sugar2 Tbsp. flour2 tsp. cinnamon2 Tbsp. melted margarine1/2 cup nuts, optional
