Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 6 c
- brown sugar
- margarine - 1/2 c
- warm water - 1/2 c
- white sugar - 1/2 c
- packets yeast - 2 item
How to make coffee cake:
Topping:1 1/2 c. brown sugar1/2 c. white sugar6 Tbsp. flour4 Tbsp. margarine Mix yeast, warm water and teaspoon of sugar together and set aside. Mix together warm milk, melted margarine, eggs, 1 egg white, salt, sugar and yeast mixture together. Add flour, 1 cup at a time, at the end and knead by hand. Let rise until double in bulk. Knead down and divide into 4 parts. Put into 4 (8-inch) round pans.Top with 1 beaten egg white. Mix together topping ingredients and put on top of dough. Pack down with fingers. Let rise. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
