Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- brown sugar
- eggs, separated - 2 item
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- margarine - 1/4 c
- margarine, melted - 1 Tbsp
How to make coffee cake:
Filling:1/2 c. brown sugar1 tsp. cinnamon1/2 c. chopped nuts1 Tbsp. flour1 Tbsp. margarine, melted Cream the butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolks. Add sifted ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Combine all filling ingredients. Pour 2/3 of the batter in well buttered pan. Spread on filling and pour over the remainder of the batter. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Coffee cakes.
