Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/4 c
- brown sugar, packed
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
How to make coffee cake:
Streusel Mixture:1/2 c. brown sugar, packed2 Tbsp. flour2 tsp. cinnamon2 Tbsp. butter, melted1/2 c. chopped nuts Mix sugar, shortening and egg thoroughly. Stir in milk. Measure and blend dry ingredients; stir in. Spread 1/2 mixture in bottom of 9 x 9-inch greased pan. Add 1/2 of the Streusel Mixture, then rest of batter. Sprinkle remaining Streusel Mixture on top. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes at 375°.I bake this on Christmas morning while we are waiting for Lynn to return from the barn.
