  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • flaked coconut - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1/4 tsp
  • sticks butter - 3 item
  • sour cream with 1/4 tsp - 8 oz

How to make coconut pound cake:

Preheat oven to 300°. Grease and flour large tube pan. Cream butter and sugar, adding eggs one at a time. Mix well after each addition. Add flour and baking soda, then vanilla and sour cream, mixing well. Stir in coconut. Spoon into tube pan. Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done. Do not test with toothpick too often or too soon as cake may fall.
