Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- vanilla
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- evaporated milk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- can coconut - 1 item
- sticks butter or margarine must be at room temperature - 3 item
- eggs must be at room temperature - 6 item
How to make coconut pound cake:
Make sure eggs and butter are at room temperature. Cream sugar and butter together. Add eggs and milk to sugar mixture. Blend well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add to mixture. Blend well. Add vanilla and coconut. Blend well. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
