- sugar
- eggs - 5 item
- milk - 1 c
- coconut - 2 c
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- vegetable shortening
- cake flour - 3 c
- coconut flavoring
How to make coconut pound cake:
Cream the shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, blending after each. Add milk and coconut flavoring. Sift dry ingredients. Add to mixture. Fold in coconut. Bake in a tube pan in a cold oven at 325° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
