Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- cornstarch - 1/4 c
- egg yolks - 3 item
- coconut
- egg whites - 3 item
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
- baked pie crust - 1 item
How to make coconut pie:
Beat egg yolks with a whisk. Add the milk to egg yolks and mix well. Mix cornstarch with sugar. Add this to the egg mixture. Cook until it thickens, then add margarine, vanilla and coconut. Pour this in a baked pie crust.Beat the 3 egg whites and add cream of tartar and vanilla. Cover with coconut before baking in oven for 15 minutes at 350°.
