Coconut oatmeal cake
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 6 Tbsp
- boiling water
- oatmeal - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- butter, cut up - 1/2 c
- Add eggs, butter, and boiling water
- cream or canned milk - 1/2 c
- nuts any type - 1 c
How to make coconut oatmeal cake:
Put oatmeal, sugars, cinnamon, soda, salt, and flour in mixer bowl. Add eggs, butter, and boiling water. Beat well. Dough will be thin. Pour into a greased and floured 9 X 13-inch pan.Topping:1/2 c. white sugar1/2 c. brown sugar6 Tbsp. melted butter1 c. coconut1/2 c. cream or canned milk1 c. nuts (any type) Mix topping ingredients together. Spread over top of cake before baking. Topping will soak into the cake while baking. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.*
