Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flaked coconut - 2 c
- almond extract - 1/4 tsp
- egg whites - 3 item
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
- candied cherries, each cut into fourths optional - 12 item
How to make coconut macaroons:
Heat oven to 300°. Grease cookie sheet lightly. Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt in medium bowl until foamy. Beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time. Continue beating until stiff and glossy.
