Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour - 5 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- shredded coconut - 1/2 c
- baked pie shell - 1 item
How to make coconut cream pie:
Beat egg yolks thoroughly. Add milk and beat again. Sift flour with salt and sugar. Add to egg mixture. Cook, stirring constantly. Add butter and let mixture cool, then add vanilla. Mix in shredded coconut. Turn into baked pie shell. Cover with stiffly beaten egg whites to which has been added 6 tablespoons sugar.
