Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- coconut - 1 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
How to make coconut cream pie:
Combine egg yolks, salt and milk; mix well. Place over low heat, stirring constantly until warm. Combine sugar and flour, mixing well. Gradually add to milk mixture, stirring constantly. Cook over low heat; stir until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and coconut. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar; spread on top of pie.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
