Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour - 1/3 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 3 item
- marshmallow cream - 1 c
- coconut extract - 1/2 tsp
- Cook in double boiler until thick and smooth
How to make coconut cream pie:
Combine all ingredients except milk and vanilla, then stir in well. Cook in double boiler until thick and smooth. Add flavoring. Pour into baked pie shell.Meringue:3 egg whites1 c. marshmallow cream1/4 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. coconut extract Top with meringue made of 3 egg whites, 1 cup marshmallow cream, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract. Beat egg whites and salt. When stiff, add marshmallow cream and beat. Add coconut extract. Bake in 350° oven until brown as desired.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
