Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- egg yolks - 3 item
- flaked coconut - 1 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
- small container of sweetened whipped cream - 1 item
- 9-inch baked pastry shell - 1 item
How to make coconut cream pie:
Combine egg yolk, salt and cream; mix well. Place over low heat, stirring constantly until warm. Combine sugar and flour, mixing well. Gradually add to cream mixture stirring constantly. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and coconut. Pour into a pie shell and chill.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
