Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • all-purpose flour - 3 c
  • coconut flavoring - 1 tsp
  • butter or oleo soft - 1/2 c

How to make coconut cream cheese pound cake:

Cream the butter, shortening and cream cheese, gradually adding sugar. Beating well at medium speed, add eggs. Beat well after each egg. Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture, stirring until well blended.

Pour batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours or until wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from pan and let cool on wire rack.
