Cocoa syrup
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla flavoring - 2 tsp
- cocoa - 3/4 c
- hot water - 1 c
- dash of salt optional - 1 item
How to make cocoa syrup:
Combine cocoa, sugar and salt in a medium saucepan. Gradually stir in water until mixture is smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue to cook and stir 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Pour into container. Cool, cover and refrigerate. Use to prepare cold drinks or serve as a topping for ice cream.
