Cocoa brownies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 2/3 c
• cocoa - 1/2 c
• baking powder - 1/2 tsp
• shortening - 1/2 c
• chopped walnuts - 1/2 c

How to make cocoa brownies:

Heat oven to 350°. Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla until well blended. Blend dry ingredients, then mix in. Stir in nuts. Spread in well-greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Bake about 30 minutes. Cool; cut into 2-inch squares.
