Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 5 c
- shortening - 1/4 c
- warm water - 1 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
How to make cloverleaf rolls:
Melt butter for the top of rolls when you bake them. Soften dry yeast in warm water. Scald milk; add sugar, salt and shortening. Add flour and mix well. Add softened yeast and eggs; beat well. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Turn out onto floured board and knead. Place in greased bowl to let rise until double. Make into rolls and let rise in greased baking pans.
