Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- can crushed pineapple - 1 1/2
- dash of salt - 1 item
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
- whipping cream, whipped - 1/2 c
- lettuce leaves - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 1/4 c
- can mandarin oranges, drained - 1 oz
- salad greens - 1 item
- sliced celery - 1 c
- carton frozen whipped topping, thawed - 1 1/2
- carton creamed cottage cheese - 1 oz
How to make classic waldorf salad:
Pour the pineapple with its juice into a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until juice comes to a boil, about 4 to 6 minutes. Remove from heat. Pour gelatin mix into large, glass mixing bowl.
