Classic pecan pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pecans
- eggs, slightly beaten - 3 item
- margarine or butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- light or dark corn syrup - 1 c
- 9-inch unbaked or frozen deep-dish pie crust - 1 item
How to make classic pecan pie:
Preheat oven to 350°. In large bowl, stir first 5 ingredients until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie crust. Bake 50 to 55 minutes until knife inserted comes out clean. Cool. Serves 8.To use prepared frozen pie crust, use 9-inch deep-dish pie crust. Do not thaw. Preheat oven and a cookie sheet. Pour filling into frozen crust; bake on cookie sheet. (Insulated cookie sheet is not recommended.)
