Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- Parkay margarine - 1/3 c
- pkg - 2 oz
- flour
- dairy sour cream
- egg - 1 item
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- grated lemon rind - 1 tsp
- Kraft strawberry preserves optional - 3/4 c
How to make classic cheesecake:
Topping:1 c. dairy sour cream1 Tbsp. sugar1 tsp. vanilla3/4 c. Kraft strawberry preserves (optional) Cream margarine and 1/3 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in 1 egg. Add flour; mix well. Spread dough onto bottom and 1 1/2 inches high around sides of 9-inch spring-form pan. Bake at 450° for 5 minutes.Cream softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, rind and vanilla. Mix at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Add 3 eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour mixture into pastry-lined pan. Bake at 325° for 50 minutes.
Topping: Combine sour cream, sugar and vanilla; mix well. Spread evenly over cheesecake. Continue to bake 10 more minutes. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim of pan. Preserves are optional.
