Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- water - 1 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- celery - 1 c
- potatoes, cubed - 1 c
- onions - 1 c
- can condensed milk - 1 item
- small cans clams - 2 item
- clam sauce
How to make clam chowder:
In 6-quart pot or saucepan combine butter, onion and celery; saute until light brown. Add flour. Continue stirring. Add water and clam sauce. Add potatoes. Add milk, bay leaf and clams. Add black pepper. Simmer for about 20 minutes.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Clams.
