  • flour - 1 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • celery - 1 c
  • potatoes, cubed - 1 c
  • onions - 1 c
  • can condensed milk - 1 item
  • small cans clams - 2 item
  • clam sauce

How to make clam chowder:

In 6-quart pot or saucepan combine butter, onion and celery; saute until light brown. Add flour. Continue stirring. Add water and clam sauce. Add potatoes. Add milk, bay leaf and clams. Add black pepper. Simmer for about 20 minutes.
