Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 2 qt
- medium onion, diced - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- bacon, fried crisp and crumbled - 1 lb
- cans minced clams with juice - 4 item
- to 10 large potatoes, diced small - 8 item
How to make clam chowder:
Cook potatoes and onion in salt water until well done. Without draining water, mash potatoes with hand masher until water is thickened. Add crumbled bacon and minced clams. Add half and half and season to taste and heat thoroughly. Do not boil. Serve immediately.
