  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • minced onion - 1/4 c
  • oil or butter - 1 Tbsp
  • diced potatoes - 2 c
  • can clams - 1 1/2

How to make clam chowder:

Saute onions in oil until limp. Add potatoes and water. Cook 10 minutes or until tender. Add milk, spices and clams just before serving and bring to a boil. Allow to cook a few minutes before serving.
