Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- chicken broth - 2 c
- parsley - 1 tsp
- cans minced clams - 2 item
- onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- white wine - 1/4 c
- finely chopped carrots - 2 c
- potatoes, peeled and cubed - 2 3
How to make clam chowder:
Saute onion and carrots in butter. Add to a soup pot the onion, carrots, potatoes, salt, chicken broth and water. Cook until potatoes are tender. Add parsley, juice from clams, milk and wine. Simmer 5 minutes. Add clams. Simmer 5 more minutes and serve.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Clams.
