Cioppino
Ingredients/Components
- firm white fleshed fish - 1 lb
- chopped onion - 1 item
- garlic - 1 item
- can tomato sauce - 8 oz
- tomatoes, chopped - 28 oz
- white wine - 3/4 c
- each: thyme, marjoram, oregano - 1/2 tsp
- sprinkle of powdered bay leaves - 1 item
- sprinkle of white pepper - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
- thyme - 1/8 tsp
- spears broccoli - 2 item
- butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
How to make cioppino:
For each serving fold a 12 x 16-inch sheet of aluminum foil lengthwise in half. Rum some of the butter on half of the foil. Top with a fish fillet and sprinkle fish with thyme. Add broccoli spears, remaining butter and the wine. Fold foil to cover ingredients. Seal edges tightly. Place on baking sheet and bake at 425° about 15 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.Recipe categories: Main dish, Seafood, Stew.
