Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2/3 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1 Tbsp
  • shortening - 1/4 c
  • to 1 Tbsp - 1 tsp
  • Icing: confectioners sugar

How to make cinnamon rolls:

Icing: confectioners sugar milk Preheat oven to 450°. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening. Stir in milk until all ingredients are moistened. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface 8 to 10 times. Roll into a thin rectangle. Soften 2 tablespoons of butter and spread onto dough. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; spread on top of butter. Roll dough into a long roll; cut into 1-inch slices. Place in lightly greased muffin tin. Bake for 10 minutes.
