Cinnamon raisin bread
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 item
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 6 7
- water - 2 Tbsp
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- raisins - 1 c
- warm water - 1/2 c
- dry yeast - 2 pkg
How to make cinnamon raisin bread:
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Stir in 1 3/4 cup warm water, 3 tablespoon sugar, salt, shortening and 3 1/2 cups flour. Beat smooth. Mix in raisins and flour to handle.Knead 10 minutes. Cover; let rise about 1 hour. Roll into rectangle. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon water and half sugar mixture. Roll up, put in pan and let rise 1 hour. Bake at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes.
