Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 3/4 c
  • flour
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • unsweetened cocoa - 1/4 c
  • can sweetened condensed milk - 1 oz
  • milk chocolate candy bar - 1 (8
  • cold margarine - 1/2 c

How to make chunky brownies:

Preheat oven to 350°. In medium bowl, combine 1 cup of the flour and sugar. Cut in cold butter or margarine until crumbly. Press firmly on bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, in large mixer bowl, beat milk, cocoa, eggs, remaining 1/4 cup flour, vanilla and baking powder. Stir in milk chocolate broken up pieces and nuts. Spread over baked crust. Bake 20 minutes or until center is set. Cool. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar, if desired.

Store tightly covered at room temperature. Makes 36 brownies.
