Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- cloves - 1 tsp
- lard - 3 Tbsp
- paprika - 1 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- chopped carrots - 2 c
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- chopped potatoes - 2 c
- or 5 c
- dry crushed red peppers - 1/2 1
- sliced or diced onions - 2 item
How to make chuck wagon stew:
Mix together first 5 ingredients. Coat the beef and brown in hot fat. Add onions and garlic. Cook until tender. Add rest of ingredients except potatoes and carrots. Cover and simmer 2 hours. Then add potatoes and carrots and cook until vegetables are done, about 45 minutes. This is a spicy dish!Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Stew.
