Chuck wagon beans
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- boiling water - 2/3 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- catsup
- prepared mustard - 3 Tbsp
- ground beef - 3 lb
- finely chopped celery - 1 c
- beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
- bacon slices - 1/2 lb
- 1/2 cloves garlic, minced - 1 item
- finely chopped onion about - 3 c
- cans molasses style baked beans - 2 oz
How to make chuck wagon beans:
Heat oven to 375°. In Dutch oven or large roasting pan, fry bacon until crisp; set aside. Drain fat from pan. In same pan, cook and stir ground beef, onion and celery until meat is brown and onion is tender. Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water. Stir bouillon and remaining ingredients into meat mixture. Cover and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Crumble bacon. Sprinkle over beans. Makes 12 (1 cup) servings.
