Christmas salad

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 Tbsp
• pkg - 1 oz
• cherry jello - 1 pkg
• lime jello - 1 pkg
• envelope plain gelatin - 1 item
• nuts, chopped if desired - 1/2 c
• small can pineapple, crushed - 1 item
• juice of 1/2 lemon or 1/2 orange

How to make christmas salad:

Prepare lime jello according to package directions but reduce water by 1/2 cup and stir in pineapple. Pour into large dish or pan. Place in refrigerator until firm. Combine cottage cheese, lemon juice and sugar and mash with a fork or with mixer until smooth. Dissolve gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water. Blend into cottage cheese. Add nuts. Spread over lime jello. Prepare cherry jello according to package directions. Pour over filling. Chill until firm.
