Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar
- water - 1/2 c
- white corn syrup - 3/4 c
- flavoring - 1 tsp
- Remove from heat and add flavoring and 1 teaspoon coloring
- peppermint - red - 1 item
- anise - purple - 1 item
- sassafras - yellow - 1 item
- cinnamon - orange - 1 item
- wintergreen - green - 1 item
How to make christmas hard candy:
Boil sugar, syrup and water to 300° (hard crack). Remove from heat and add flavoring and 1 teaspoon coloring. Pour over powdered sugar slab. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
