  • shortening - 1/3 c
  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • honey - 2/3 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • flour, sifted
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • lemon extract - 1 tsp

How to make christmas cookies:

Cream and blend well the shortening, sugar, honey and egg. Mix and stir in sifted dry ingredients. Chill. Roll thin and cut. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 375°. Ice cookies.

May put together 2 cookies and fill with mincemeat or apricot filling and bake slightly longer time.
