Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- oil - 3 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- onions, chopped - 1 c
- celery, chopped - 3 c
- can bean sprouts - 1 item
- pork, cubed - 1 lb
- bead molasses - 1 Tbsp
How to make chow mein:
Heat oil in skillet; fry meat alone until nearly done. Add 1 tablespoon soy sauce, celery, onions and 1 1/2 cups soup stock or bouillon cubes in 1 1/2 cups water. Saute for 10 minutes. Add bean sprouts, drained. Cook 5 minutes. Add gravy, using 1 tablespoon bead molasses, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, cornstarch and 2/3 cup water. Season to taste. Pour over meat and vegetables; stir until thickened. Serve over canned noodles or rice.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Time to make.
