Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 5 c
- salt - 2 Tbsp
- mustard - 5 Tbsp
- white vinegar - 6 c
- medium green tomatoes - 20 item
- red bell peppers - 2 item
- green bell peppers - 6 item
- large heads cabbage - 2 item
- pods hot pepper - 25 item
- large onions Vidalia if possible - 6 item
How to make chow chow:
Grind all vegetables together in food processor for fine chop or hand chop for coarse chop (recommend hand chop all tomatoes and red pepper). Add other ingredients and cook on medium heat to bring to a boil, then boil on low heat for 30 minutes. Makes 10 to 12 quarts.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Vegetables, North american.
