- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 3 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 qt
- cloves - 1/4 tsp
- allspice - 1 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 3 Tbsp
- green peppers - 10 item
- large onions - 8 item
- red peppers - 6 item
- green tomatoes
How to make chow-chow:
Chop tomatoes, onions and peppers; cover with salt. Let stand overnight. Drain. Add red peppers, vinegar, spices and sugar. Cook 40 minutes. Put into jars and seal tops.Recipe categories: American, Vegetables, North american.
