Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 6 c
- salt - 4 Tbsp
- vinegar - 5 c
- cabbage - 4 lb
- onions - 4 lb
- hot peppers - 4 item
- sweet peppers - 12 item
- green tomatoes - 24 item
- box pickle spices, tied in cloth - 1/2 item
How to make chow-chow:
Grind peppers, onions, cabbage and tomatoes. Add salt and let stand 2 or 3 hours. Pour off juice.Heat vinegar and sugar to boiling. Add mixture and spices. Bring to a boil. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
