Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • powdered sugar - 2 c
  • stick butter or margarine - 1 item
  • pecans, chopped - 1 c
  • large can crushed pineapple, undrained - 1 item
  • Pour into an oblong greased and floured pan

How to make chop suey cake:

Mix by hand in above order. Pour into an oblong greased and floured pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Ice with following icing.Icing:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 stick butter or margarine2 c. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla Mix all together well and pour over hot cake.
