Ingredients/Components
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- sugar - 1 c
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- large tub Cool Whip - 1 item
- pkg - 2 oz
- milk - 3 c
- chocolate chips or nuts for garnish - 1 item
How to make chocolate torte:
Melt margarine, cool and mix with pecans and flour. Press mixture into bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes; let cool.Mix sugar, cream cheese and 1/2 of Cool Whip together. Spread onto first layer in 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix instant pudding with milk until thick. Spread it on top of second layer. Spread remaining Cool Whip on top and garnish with chocolate chips or nuts.
