Chocolate tea bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- flour
- water - 1/3 c
- cocoa - 1/3 c
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- nuts - 1/3 c
- semi-sweet chocolate pieces - 1/3 c
- applesauce - 1/2 c
- margarine or shortening - 1/3 c
How to make chocolate tea bread:
In large bowl, combine all ingredients except chocolate pieces and nuts. Stir together. Beat 1/2 minute on low speed, then 3 minutes on high speed. Stir in chocolate pieces and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan or two 7 x 3 1/4 x 2 1/4-inch pans. Bake for 1 hour at 350°. Delicious served warm.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Grains.
