Chocolate sundae cookies
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 2/3 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- chopped maraschino cherries - 1/4 c
- unbeaten egg - 1 item
- maraschino cherry juice - 1/4 c
- melted unsweetened chocolate - 2 sq
How to make chocolate sundae cookies:
Sift together dry ingredients. Set aside. Cream brown sugar and Crisco, creaming well. Blend in unbeaten egg. Stir in half the dry ingredients. All the 1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice and 2 tablespoons milk, then stir in remaining dry ingredients and mix well. Blend in 2 squares melted chocolate, walnuts and maraschino cherries. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes. Cut large marshmallows in half. Place cut side down on hot cookies. Cool on rack.
