Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
- eggs - 2 item
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- Icing:1 stick margarine
- powdered sugar approximately 1 box
- pecans - 1 c
How to make chocolate sheet cake:
Icing:1 stick margarine4 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. buttermilk powdered sugar (approximately 1 box)1 c. pecans Mix sugar and flour in large bowl. Bring water, cocoa and margarine to a boil and pour over flour and sugar. Add beaten eggs, 1 teaspoon soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes (sheet cake pan).Icing: Bring margarine, cocoa and buttermilk to a boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar. Add pecans (optional). Cake may be iced while it is still hot.
