Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- stick oleo - 1 item
- Icing:1 stick oleo
How to make chocolate sheet cake:
Icing:1 stick oleo3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. chopped nuts1 box powdered sugar Cake: In saucepan, combine oleo, cocoa, water and shortening. Bring this to a boil and add to sugar and flour. Then add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Pour mixture into 11 x 16-inch sheet pan and bake 20 minutes at 400°.Icing: Five minutes before cake is done, put all icing ingredients except powdered sugar in saucepan and bring to boil. Add to powdered sugar. Ice cake while hot.
