Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 4 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- cocoa powder - 4 Tbsp
- baking cocoa powder - 4 Tbsp
- In a saucepan, combine butter, shortening, cocoa powder and water
How to make chocolate sheath cake:
Mix flour and sugar together and set aside. In a saucepan, combine butter, shortening, cocoa powder and water. Bring to a full boil. Remove from the heat and mix in buttermilk, soda, vanilla and eggs. Add all of this to the sugar and flour mix. Pour into well oiled and floured pan. Bake at 400° until done (toothpick comes out clean).Icing:1 stick butter4 Tbsp. cocoa powder1 tsp. vanilla4 tsp. milk1 box powdered sugar Combine the buttermilk and cocoa in a saucepan.
